about

The bass and first verse are from a song performed by an early Robin band, The Clams.

lyrics

She drives her uncle's Buick, Motley Crue is on the radio. Takes off her waitress nametag, drops her coffee out the cracked window. Her girlfriend said that she's too wild, and on the inside she's just a child. She said she couldnt wait for her, and her life became a blur. 2/3/4... went downtown to the red light district, toothless men swigging out of brown bags, whores puking out of six story buildings, live nude girls selling sex, sex, sex, with a beer in their hands and their press on nails, money in their underwear...
She soaked it up and felt alright - yeah, she partied nearly every night. But the good times didn't seem to last, because she's lost her imagination, froze the situation, lost in time and space, her broken clock garbage will she ever get out?
She's driving home in fading light. Why bother to lock the door? smokes a J out on the porch, yeah this is what she settled for. 2/3/4/ She's Alright...
